It's less reporting facts and more stirring up the base, ensuring they remain steeped in fear and therefore more controllable.
Look no further than "Michael Moore’s stark warning to Democrats on election momentum" to witness the persistent narrative pushing fear and uncertainty. In an attempt to sow division, Fox narrows in on perceived disunity within the Democratic party. The implication? Republicans stand united in their cause, aiding the narrative of a "righteous" Christo-fascist movement.
The "Serial killer on death row drops bombshell, bringing closure to nearly 40-year mystery" seems harmless at first: a sensational headline that grabs attention. But therein lies the danger. It's these pieces nestled between the politically charged headlines that anchor viewers into a shared reality that seemingly offers unbiased news, when it is, in fact, a Trojan horse hiding an onslaught of far-right propaganda.
Fox News doesn't peddle news; they sell a narrative. A narrative where rich, white, Christian nationalists hold an absolute reign, where equality and empathy are replaced with exploitation and divisiveness, and where anyone who dares subvert this narrative is immediately marginalized.
