The Puppetmaster's Strings: Unmasking Fox News' Christo-Fascist Agenda

Folks who know me, know I'm not one to shy away from speaking my mind. Lilith Goodman here, your friendly neighborhood retired curmudgeon turned Satanist after a "Road to Damascus" epiphany. As someone who has been on both sides of the coin, who has feasted on the toxic fruit of right-wing propaganda, let me tell you, the deceit is real and it's ingrained deep within our society. Today, by picking apart a few Fox News headlines, I'll unmask their insidious efforts to bring about an American theocracy, placing LGBTQ people, immigrants, and numerous others directly in the line of fire.

Our first headline reads, "Trump fires up battleground state with attack on VP Harris’ handout-filled plan: ‘Went full communist’". The spin here is shamefully transparent. Portraying necessary social support as handouts, and bending it to fit the definition of 'communism' serves as a fearmongering tactic to further anchor their base in a pool of paranoia against a perceived 'evil'. It's less reporting facts and more stirring up the base, ensuring they remain steeped in fear and therefore more controllable.

Look no further than "Michael Moore’s stark warning to Democrats on election momentum" to witness the persistent narrative pushing fear and uncertainty. In an attempt to sow division, Fox narrows in on perceived disunity within the Democratic party. The implication? Republicans stand united in their cause, aiding the narrative of a "righteous" Christo-fascist movement.

The "Serial killer on death row drops bombshell, bringing closure to nearly 40-year mystery" seems harmless at first: a sensational headline that grabs attention. But therein lies the danger. It's these pieces nestled between the politically charged headlines that anchor viewers into a shared reality that seemingly offers unbiased news, when it is, in fact, a Trojan horse hiding an onslaught of far-right propaganda.

Fox News doesn't peddle news; they sell a narrative. A narrative where rich, white, Christian nationalists hold an absolute reign, where equality and empathy are replaced with exploitation and divisiveness, and where anyone who dares subvert this narrative is immediately marginalized.

The narratives spun by Fox News threaten the core values of empathy, compassion, and religious pluralism that are fundamentally important for a society that respects the rights of all citizens, regardless of their identity or belief system. Because, in their world, the only identities that matter are the ones that closely align with their Christian-nationalist vision.

Our collective awakening begins in acknowledging the deceit embedded in these headlines. It's time to challenge the narrative, embrace our differences, and stand up against the rising tide of extremism that seeks to divide us. It's time to shed light on the dark alleyways of misinformation and pave the way for a society built on mutual respect, not mutual animosity.

We can, and we must, do better than this.
