Fox News: A Christo-fascist Propaganda Machine Aiming to Birth an American Theocracy

Hello world, this is Lilith Goodman, former fundamentalist turned Satanist, and today, I am here to shed light on the artful yet harmful propaganda perpetuated by media outlets like Fox News.

But don't take my word for it, let's take a brief walk through some of the headlines peppering their website today. "Trump clashes with journalist during economic policy interview: 'It must be hard for you...'" - this headline not only propagates the us-against-them mentality, but the embedded quote is a mockery to any individual understanding the importance of exercising their duty around critical journalism.

Then we have "Charlamagne presses Harris on if she deserves a lot of the blame for the border crisis." This piece seeks to place the blame squarely on Kamala Harris for a multifaceted issue like immigration. Not only is this headline grossly misleading, but it is an attempt to detract from the true issue at hand: the ongoing degradation of the American socio-political scene in the hands of far-right Christian extremists.

And who can skip the headline: "Oscar-winning filmmaker's daughter says late father would have backed Trump"? Here, Fox News deftly uses the allure of a Hollywood endorsement to legitimise the extremism and narcissism propagated by Trump, subtly convincing their audience that questioning their allegiance to this hateful rhetoric is blasphemous.

Each of these headlines corroborates what I have decried for years now: Fox News is an outlet beaming with far-right, Christo-fascist propaganda that is hazardous to the American Republic. It's a meticulously constructed smokescreen designed to lure in and brainwash the average American citizen into accepting their skewed version of an American theocracy.

A theocracy, I must add, that holds true dangers for LGBTQ people, a subject close to my heart. There’s a chilling exodus towards this kind of theocracy that holds potential to harm the LGBTQ community, amongst other perceived “enemies” of Christian nationalism.

The narrative spun by Fox News, under the guise of journalism, is a disingenuous ploy to serve the interests of the rich, while invoking fear and division amongst the general public. It paints a target on anyone opposing their vision of a Christian theocracy - a worrying direction for the United States of America.

Don't fall for it, dear readers. Keep questioning, keep exploring, and above all, keep fighting against this hateful tide sweeping across our nation. Our Republic is worth more than their lies. Godspeed.
